Primary 6 have been enjoying reading 'The Ickabog' by JK Rowling. However, there has been much disagreement about the intentions of King Fred the Fearless, the ruler of Corncucopia. Labelled as 'selfish, vain and cruel' by another character, Daisy Dovetail, King Fred sets out on a quest to prove he is anything but!

However, what did our pupils think? Pupils supported and opposed the motion 'King Fred is trying to be a good king' and argued their points superbly. This morning's debate was thoroughly entertaining and our Primary 6 pupils showed they may have a future career in politics!
