Primary 6 are delighted to announce they have their first 'Word Millionaire' of the school year. Congratulations to Aldara for reaching this amazing total! We are all delighted for you!
Aldara loves 'His Dark Materials' trilogy by Philip Pullman and her favourite character is Lyra Belacqua. Lyra is a strong-minded, determined young lady who lets nothing stand in her way (a bit like Aldara reaching this impressive word count!). Aldara loves the books of Jacqueline Wilson and can be seen reading these in the classroom when she gets a few spare minutes.
When asked how she felt about becoming the first Primary 6 pupil to become a word millionaire, Aldara said:
"I'm delighted! I feel so happy I've been able to read more this year. I read every spare minute I get!"
